    TOKYO KANKAN

Dedicated to craftsmanship utilizing handcrafts from around the world
We plan and produce original apparel and fashion goods.

[The "arti" in "artipur" means "artisan" in French and "pur" means "flower" in Hindi. We offer a wardrobe that values traditional craftwork by artisans from India and around the world, with bright and fun colors like flowers and playful silhouettes and designs as keywords.

[TANABANA apparel/clothing goods]TANABANA means warp and weft. TANABANA is a fun and playful clothing made by traditional Indian handcrafts using natural materials with rustic warmth. We make expressive products as if the warp and weft threads are woven together.

[NATIVE WORKS Apparel] People have created their own clothing culture all over the world through the traditions of drawing, dyeing, and weaving, which have been passed down from generation to generation in order to dress more beautifully. The ethnic forms created by taking advantage of diverse materials and refining techniques. NATIVE WORKS was born out of a desire to revive and pass on this fundamental beauty to the modern world in a vibrant form through direct interaction with weavers, dyers, and embroiderers.

[NATIVE WORKS is a company that produces products made by simple handcrafts from all over the world under the keyword of "By Hands," from India, where a variety of traditional handicrafts flourish, to Southeast Asia such as the Philippines and Indonesia, and from West Africa such as Mali and Burkina Faso to North Africa such as Morocco. We are making products by simple handcrafts from all over the world. We visit the sites of handcrafts around the world and talk with the craftspeople to understand their traditions, cultures, and production backgrounds, and then work together with them to create products. In an era of significant change, we hope to convey the value of handicrafts while preserving traditional handicrafts handed down from generation to generation. Handicrafts, which until recently were a natural part of people's lives, have been disappearing as time goes by, and more and more of them can no longer be made. While we are grateful for the benefits of the convenient age in which we can easily obtain things, we are also reminded of the creativity that humans originally possessed, and of our diversity and universality in various places beyond national borders. We believe that this is the most important value of humanity that we must not forget. I would like to create something that conveys the interest and charm of the differences and imperfections of each individual object.

    Commitment to our products
We are surrounded by various things in our daily lives.
However, there are not so many important objects that we want to keep with us.
In the course of working with objects for many years, we have come to realize that the tenderness of handmade products is a gift that we want to pass on to future generations.
We have realized that the tenderness of handcrafted products is born from the slow fluctuation of the climate, the movement of people's hands, and the change in the environment.
Climate change, the movement of human hands, the quality of materials, and the meaning of handwork that exists in harmony with nature.
We continue to explore the symbiosis between the present age and handicraft.
