    When urushi lacquer mixes with protein, a chemical reaction occurs, making the mixture sticky. Through pounding the lacquer, it forms fine angles, resulting in a uniquely textured finish. This ancient method, known as shibo-urushi, renowned for its durability and non-slip qualities, finds application on tray backs. The SHIRASAGI Sibo Series harnesses this practical technique, offering a sensation akin to fine leather that comfortably absorbs into your hand.

    This series features eight vibrant color variations, allowing you to choose your favorite.

    Crafted to suit modern dining tables using an age-old construction method, Shibo-Urushi embodies tradition and practicality, offering durability and a non-slip surface. The color of this traditional method has been adapted to complement modern dining settings.

    Lacquer Finishing × Sibo: The bowl's interior and high base are finished with lacquer, while the exterior boasts a shibi-urushi finish.

    Precautions: Avoid using abrasive items such as scrubbers and cleansers as they may cause scratches and peeling. After washing, ensure it's promptly dried and store it away from direct sunlight. Dishwashers, dish dryers, ovens, and microwave ovens are not safe for this product.
