Our director grew up in a conservative environment in Kyushu. She was a child who fantasized about traveling, having adventures, and living a life of freedom from the confines of society, just like in the stories. However, growing up, he had bitter experiences with patriarchy, sexual harassment, and so on.
I don't mean to antagonize anyone for the negative issues that occurred to me as a woman. But I want my children's future to be fairer. [I would like to see a society that recognizes individuality and connects with respect and compassion. What is needed for such a future?
We believe it is communication. Know yourself, know others, accept differences, and respect each other. Underwear is something that everyone wears, but it is also a profound communication tool. There were many things that we realized through underwear, such as our own desires, what looks better on us as we get older, and our relationship with our partner. Underwear is an item that is basically not shown, which may be why it expresses our inner selves more.
Also, underwear is an item that is closely related to sex and life. I think it is very important to know about these delicate but fundamental things and to face [how to live] with them.

The fashion industry is considered the world's second most polluting industry after oil. Many brands generate leftover fabrics called remnants after each project, usually ending up incinerated. Neyi purchases silk remnants from high-end brands to produce innerwear and home goods, aiming to be an upcycling brand.
