This colorful pen stand is made from marine plastic waste.
All buoy products are made from marine plastic waste collected in various parts of Japan. They are not colored or otherwise processed, and are made of colors that have accidentally washed up on beaches.
The plastic is characterized by bright colors, but the mosaic pattern is a bit organic due to the intermingling of multiple colors.
Each product is clearly labeled with the area where the trash drifted ashore. This gives a realistic impression of the marine litter problem that is occurring in Japan.
Also, by reading the QR code attached to the product, you can view information about the beach cleanup organization that collected each piece of trash.
