We at Bell have been making shoes for over 50 years in Nagata, Kobe, which is known as the town of shoes. While overseas production has been increasing in recent years, we insist on "Made in Japan" and use materials made in Japan. In addition, we have realized [shoes that are easy to walk in, do not tire easily, and do not cause foot pain] by adding high resilience insoles for comfort. The design is fashionable yet simple so that they can be worn for a long time. We have also started a "wide width special order" which can be done only at our workshop in Japan, so that we can solve the problems that many Japanese people often have, such as "big toe" or "wide instep". We make our shoes in our own workshop from designing and cutting, and through many processes. Most of Belle&Sofa shoes are made of vegan leather, a new Japanese material that has the same structural fiber as genuine leather. By incorporating synthetic leather, we have overcome the shortcomings of the leather, such as the time it takes to get used to it and its susceptibility to rain and mold. In addition, the use of a [highly resilient] urethane material in the insole provides a comfortable and less tiring fit by absorbing shock and reducing foot swelling.

All our deerskin comes from deer population control efforts throughout Japan. Originally slated for disposal, this leather, known as the "cashmere" of leather, now finds new life in our products.

Our commitment extends to eco-friendly and lightweight outsoles made from 30% less petroleum-derived materials. Utilizing the exclusive "Furo-shiki" manufacturing method, mastered by only a select few craftsmen, we ensure a gentle and comfortable fit.

We create shoes that are not only ethically produced but also offer consumers the immediate comfort of "shoes that fit perfectly from the moment you put them on."

Combining natural leather grown in the satoyama of Japan with an eco-friendly outsole, our shoes are meticulously finished by Japanese shoemakers. These shoes make for ideal gifts for mothers and grandmothers.
