    ◆Sake cup with a motif of a moon halo with a circle of light around the moon

    Sake cups with a motif of "upside-down moon", a fashionable Japanese custom.
    In the past, when people enjoyed tsukimi-sake, they enjoyed looking at the moon reflected in the sake cup rather than looking up at the moon in the night sky.
    We have created a new sake cup based on the concept of the upside-down moon reflected in a sake cup.

    The name of the sake cup is "Sakasatsuki.
    Various images of the moon are expressed in six designs (Yoshi, Jugo, Kasa, Ariake, Misoka, and Sen) by lacquering and maki-e.

    ◆The circle of light spreading out [kasa] in Sasatsuki
    Of the six sake cups, this item has a motif of a phenomenon called "Tsuki no maga" [moon gazing], in which a ring of light spreads around the moon.
    The darkness of the night is expressed in black Urushi lacquer, and the ring of light that forms around the moon is expressed in gold Maki-e.
    The design of the gold ring on the side and inside of the sake cup is very impressive and interesting.
