◆Dishes that allow you to feel the sense of wooden material
The "MOKU" series was created in pursuit of a finish that would allow people to feel the beauty and materiality of uniquely Japanese wooden tableware in today's lifestyle. This is a mini cup and saucer set of the Suri-Urushi version of the MOKU series.
You can enjoy the beauty of the grain of the wood as well as the red and black tones of the lacquer.
The cups are slightly smaller, so they are perfect for demitasse coffee, etc.
Due to the wood's low heat conductivity, the cups are easy to hold even when filled with hot coffee, etc. The outside of the cups are not hot, and the contents do not get cold easily. The cups can also be stacked for easy storage.
The lightness and ease of holding are achieved by making full use of the woodworking technique [rokuro-hiki]. [The saucer can be used with pleasure even by elderly people who are not fond of heavy tableware.
The saucer is useful not only as a saucer under the cup, but also as a small plate on which to place chocolates or other small sweets.
Two color variations are available: red and black.
The grain of the wood can be seen through the finish of the lacquer. It may be fun to have them in different colors.
A new sense of lacquerware created in collaboration with a designer
Originally, the MOKU series was created by combining the wood processing technique called "rokurobiki," which is unique to lacquerware, with the design of designer Kashige Miyake (miyake design), to simply express the beauty and materiality of wood.
The MOKU series products have a natural design that makes the most of the texture of the wood itself, so they look great no matter what you serve on them.
The MOKU series also includes bowls, mini cups, and other items, making it a great gift set for Father's Day, Mother's Day, longevity celebrations, birthdays, and other occasions.
The simple design also blends well with Western spaces, making it a great gift for people overseas.
[Please note]
*[MOKU] series products are designed to utilize the texture of wood as much as possible.
Therefore, the grain of the wood may vary from piece to piece, and the color of the wipe lacquer may also vary slightly.
We appreciate your understanding.
