While overseas production has been increasing in recent years, we insist on "Made in Japan" and use materials made in Japan. We make our shoes in our own workshop from designing and cutting, and through many processes. Most of Belle&Sofa shoes are made of vegan leather, a new Japanese material that has the same structural fiber as genuine leather. By incorporating synthetic leather, we have overcome the shortcomings of the leather, such as the time it takes to get used to it and its susceptibility to rain and mold. In addition, the use of a [highly resilient] urethane material in the insole provides a comfortable and less tiring fit by absorbing shock and reducing foot swelling.
