About traditional culture:
Kafiya
This textile has historically served as a sunshade for farmers, with the only remaining workshop in Palestine producing 180 pieces daily. It is also utilized as a cultural symbol in traditional dance costumes and school uniforms.

Olive
Local olive prunings are utilized for the buttons. Olives, an indispensable agricultural product in Palestine, have nurtured the culture of embroidery and music under the olive trees.

About the creator:
"Aisha Design", an intersection of environmental issues and design, creates unique products by combining upcycled materials and traditional Palestinian culture. Apart from providing employment to women in need, Aisha Design conducts environmental activities such as plastic upcycling classes and tree-planting in the region.

Situation in Palestine:
Palestine boasts a deep history and warm people, making it an excellent travel destination (Diary of my stay in Palestine: https://note.com/kakehashi_pale/m/m70c26db08307). However, as an occupied territory, ordinary citizens lack guaranteed basic rights. Checkpoints on roads and restrictions on travel make it challenging to move around town or go abroad. Despite these difficulties, we believe that fostering connections through fair trade and mutual understanding will contribute to grassroots peace.

To Our Customers:
If you are concerned about stains on this delicate fiber, please hand-wash it. It can be washed thoroughly, reaching into the corners. Due to its delicate nature, it may fray depending on usage conditions. If a thread comes loose, kindly tuck it inside or cut and tie it.
