Walking in Palestine in the Middle East [Part 1]

(From the "Introduction")

This book chronicles a journey through Palestine in the Middle East. All the photographs in the book were captured in the fall of 2022 by "Bridging Chopsticks," an organization introducing Palestinian handicrafts in Japan. The first part of the book showcases scenes from central to northern Palestine (West Bank).

The belief of Kakechopsticks is that "Lovely things have no borders", While the region may have a strong image of conflict, it also possesses a rich traditional culture and daily life. Through this book, we hope you will feel a bit closer to the people living there laughing, angry, enjoying delicious food, appreciating beautiful scenery people not particularly different from us.

The situation in Palestine:
Palestine is a place with deep history and warm people. (Stay report: https://note.com/kakehashi_pale/m/m70c26db08307) We believe that connecting through fair trade with the people who persist in protecting their traditional work and activities even under occupation, and fostering cultural exchange across borders, will lead to grassroots peace.
