This tote bag seamlessly blends Palestinian local fabrics and upcycled materials, resulting in a spacious accessory with excellent storage capacity. It features an inside pocket, and the unique combination of tassels and coins makes each piece one-of-a-kind, truly once-in-a-lifetime.

About traditional culture:

Kafiya - This textile has served as a sunshade for farmers and holds cultural significance. The sole remaining workshop in Palestine produces 180 pieces daily. Additionally, it is utilized as a cultural symbol in traditional dance costumes and school uniforms.

Coins - Replicas of coins used during the Ottoman Empire, inscribed with the names of rulers and cities, inspire the design. The concept is drawn from the actual custom of wearing them for security.

About the creator:
"Aisha Design", an environmental issues x designer, crafts unique products by combining upcycled materials and traditional Palestinian culture. The organization employs women in need of income and actively engages in environmental activities such as plastic upcycling classes and tree-planting initiatives in the region.

Situation in Palestine:
Palestine is a place with deep history and warm people. (Diary of my stay: https://note.com/kakehashi_pale/m/m70c26db08307) We believe that connecting through fair trade with people who persist in protecting their traditional work and activities even under occupation, and fostering cultural exchange across borders, will lead to grassroots peace.
