This is a shell ring using the nacreous layer of a luminous shell from the Amami region.
The deep luster is created by polishing the carefully selected shells many times.
One-of-a-kind freshwater pearls (baroque pearls) are fitted into the shell ring and combined with synthetic lacquer.
The result is a piece that brings out the charm of each individual pearl.
