Under the guidance of Kazuhisa Sakai, a craftsman at Sakai Kougeisha, a shell craft company in Shima City, Mie Prefecture, I honed my skills. Now, operating as a pearl shell artist in a small workshop near the sea, I strive to create works that resonate with the present, employing traditional techniques of pearl shell cutting, polishing, and shaping refined over the years.
