This ring tray is made from abalone shells grown in Mie Prefecture.
The nacreous layer appears by carefully polishing both sides of the shell.
The abalone shell has a unique aurora borealis-like pattern and shine.
The part where rings are placed is made of distorted baroque pearls.
The ring is then painted with synthetic lacquer to create a unique one-of-a-kind piece.
