Amazake, but transparent!
A completely new malt drink from Akita, made only with malt, rice, and water, brewed in an authentic sake brewery. Unlike conventional amazake, which is made from malt, we define "koji drink" as a beverage that is transparent and has a sugar content of 15 degrees or less, offering it as an unprecedented new soft drink.

KOJI CLEAR was born out of the desire for a drink made from reliable raw materials, with naturally occurring sweetness, easy drinkability, and daily energizing benefits. KOJI CLEAR is crafted with malt, rice, and water from Akita, known for having the best fermentation culture in Japan. It is produced at a brewery in Akita, emphasizing the unique value created by the region's resources and environment.

Commitment to Our Products:

  • We started developing KOJI CLEAR with a desire for an energy drink made from simple, natural ingredients, aiming to contribute to the local community and create an option for the future using the malt and sake brewing techniques for which Daisen City in Akita Prefecture is famous.
  • Focusing on amazake malt, we experimented with more than 200 recipes and took about one and a half years to commercialize the product. Our original recipe utilizes two types of malt: ame-koji, derived from koji mold for ginjo sake, and sour white malt used for shochu.
  • It is manufactured using a time-consuming patented process with the cooperation of Akita Seishu Corporation, which owns two of Akita Prefecture's leading sake breweries, Dewazuru and Kariho (Patent No. 7223463).

We are particular about our ingredients, using rice produced in Akita Prefecture, also used for sake brewing and soft, smooth water used for brewing sake.
