    [About Ehime Uwajima Blood Orange]
    Uwajima City has a rias coastline with a complex mixture of inlets and peninsulas along its coast. Uwajima is a region where citrus cultivation flourishes, taking advantage of its mild climate and sloping terrain.

    The climate and topography of Italy and Japan are similar, and a grower who noticed this brought blood oranges to Ehime Prefecture, where research was quickly started. Today, Ehime is the largest producer of blood oranges (Moro Tarocco) in Japan.

    Although they are smaller than Italian blood oranges, analysis has shown that they have more citric acid, higher sugar content, and a better aroma. Moro, a particularly reddish variety, is used for this powder. Only the juice portion of the Uwajima blood orange is used to make the juice powder.

    [The juice of Ehime Uwajima blood oranges is made into a juice powder using a spray-drying process. The refreshing taste of the juice, which is different from that of peel powder made from the peel, is a taste that can only be obtained from the juice powder.
