SENREI Inc. is a tea startup that has inherited a 300-year-old tea plantation in Kamikawa-cho, Hyogo Prefecture.

Kamikawa's pure water, the abundant blessings of the mountains, and the famous tea that has been carefully preserved for 300 years. We work hard to produce tea with the help of the mountains and rivers that have been there since ancient times and our predecessors who have carefully nurtured them until today.

We do not "create" the taste of tea, but "bring it out." We deliver the ever-changing taste of the mountains and rivers as it is. From morning to night, from spring to summer, the tea fields are in constant flux.

In contrast, most of the food and beverages that pass down our throats today are fixed, as if time has stopped. The taste, the aroma, the shape. In the past, we would have perceived the delicate gradation of flavors as if we were admiring the four seasons.

The existence of "ma-awai," which we have almost forgotten. To express that we are between mountains and rivers, heaven and earth, the past and the future. This is the product and identity of SENREI Inc.

No two teas taste the same, there are always changes, and you can feel minute transitions. What we offer is not a tea, but an experience to perceive the changing state.

We prioritize ingredients derived from nature, aiming to provide products that enhance both the skin and the mind. Our focus is on delivering ingredients essential for skin and mental well-being, rather than fixating solely on natural elements.

Our brand, "joscille" meaning 'j'oscille (I waver) in French, captures the image of the mind and body flickering like a candle flame, symbolizing the daily fluctuations we all experience.

Our skincare philosophy involves using natural ingredients without being overly strict, ensuring the necessary components for skin and mental health. Beyond skincare applications, we extend this philosophy to items in direct contact with our skin, such as washing cloths, wiping cloths, underwear, and masks, for comprehensive skin improvement.

The term "Toning" signifies restoring the skin's natural functions, promoting health and radiance, resulting in a serene, full, and glowing heart emitting a gentle aura.

Through Josille's products, we aim to instill a sense of appreciation for nature and health, contribute to local communities, honor ancestral wisdom, and convey the intentions of skilled producers. These values, we hope, will resonate and endure into the future.

Our company is a 400 year old tea business. I am the fourth generation. We have been cultivating tea without using pesticides for about half a century. In 2024, we received the Fujinokuni SDGs certification from Shizuoka Prefecture. Since several years ago, we have been cultivating mainly with organic fertilizers made from food loss by adopting the "ochiba" (fallen leaves) farming method. It is an environmentally friendly natural cycle and sustainable resource energy. Our main business is Japanese tea, herb tea (sweet tea and kuromoji), black tea, and dried shiitake mushrooms (sliced). We sell to domestic trading companies, farmers' markets, and websites, and overseas to Singapore, France, Uzbekistan, and Brunei. In the future, we would like to introduce international certification, yuzu, and bergamot as part of our business.

Commitment to our products
We have been cultivating yuzu without the use of pesticides for about half a century. In 2024, we received the Fujinokuni SDGs certification from Shizuoka Prefecture. We have adopted the "ochiba" farming method for several years now, and cultivation is managed mainly with organic fertilizers made from food loss. The farm is also managed with an electric fence to prevent damage by birds and animals. The natural cycle is environmentally friendly and sustainable resource energy. We are also developing products using natural Kuromoji trees that grow wild in mountainous areas and products using sweet tea. (yuzu, lemon, ginger, ginger tea, etc.). In the future, we would like to develop products using bergamot to increase our company's product line.
