Until now, products with lids have only been available in the Plastic Free Tumbler series, which did not have lids for stacking tumblers, but now a series with silicone lids (lids) has been added to the lineup. We have responded to the request for a lid for stacking tumblers.
Since the lids are made of silicone, they will not chip even if dropped and are easy to handle.

The main raw materials of PAPLUS® products are PLA (polylactic acid), which is mainly composed of lactic acid obtained by fermentation of corn starch, and paper.
By using earth-friendly materials, PAPLUS® products have the unique texture of natural materials like ceramics and wood products, and we value the individuality of the colors and shades so that they can be used with love and care.

Design with Attention to Detail
PAPLUS® Stacking Tumbler Black is designed to be simple in order to bring out the unique texture of the material. The minimalist design is finished in a matte black color that matches the silhouette. The weight balance is also a key design consideration, with a sense of stability created by adding thickness toward the bottom.

About the urethane coating
The coating used this time is a urethane coating, in which black pigment is dissolved in urethane resin, and is an artificial coating that is considered harmless to the human body and conforms to the Food Sanitation Law. PAPLUS®, which has a high ratio of naturally occurring ingredients, is a little delicate to water, just like wood products, but the urethane coating increases its water resistance and reduces the speed of aging.
In fact, the main raw material of PAPLUS®, corn-derived biodegradable resin (polylactic acid), has a property of repelling paint. We were able to solve this problem by using the undercoating technology of a partner factory that has expertise in lacquer coating, a Japanese manufacturing technique.
*The painted parts of the recovered color variations can be peeled off with a grinder or other tool, and since the inside is not painted, only the pure PAPLUS® material can be efficiently sent to the reprocessing process.

■Care for Packaging
Chipboard, a 100% recycled paper made from used newspapers and magazines, is used for the packaging, which matches the texture of PAPLUS®, a natural material.

A material that harmonizes with the earth
About 86% of PAPLUS® Stacking Tumbler Black is made of corn-derived resin and paper, which are plant-derived components. To these main components, viscosity minerals (about 7%) and petroleum-derived additives (about 7%) are added to ensure heat-resistant functions. *1 In addition, most of the material is decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by the action of microorganisms. *2
*1 Please be assured that the additives used at a minimum comply with the Food Sanitation Law stipulated by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
There are many eco-friendly products that do not mention additives.
Please be aware of this.

■Warm drinks are OK
While many products with high purity of plant-derived ingredients do not have heat resistance, PAPLUS® Stacking Tumbler Black has a heat resistance temperature of 120°C, so you can use it for warm drinks with peace of mind.

Recycle instead of throw away
PAPLUS® products are incinerated if they are thrown away as garbage. However, we ask for your cooperation in collecting them as a resource and remanufacturing them, rather than incinerating them as garbage. Let's create a new cycle together.

■Publication of the process from production to collection and remanufacturing
PAPLUS® Stacking Tumbler Black comes with a traceability card. The card includes a lot number and QR code, which allows the user to check the production date, type, and quantity of products collected and remanufactured on the site.
