----- About Urushi Jayco Como's lacquer ware -----
[A new sensation both visually and functionally.]
Each piece of lacquerware is hand-painted by artisans in Fukui Prefecture, famous for its Echizen lacquerware.
A special type of hon-urushi (multi-roll lacquer) is used, which differs from conventional lacquerware in its refining technique. Due to its low viscosity and quick-drying nature, it is said to be handled only by craftsmen who apply it quickly and carefully, and this work is entrusted to the skilled craftsmen who are responsible for jcocomo's lacquerware.
