This tote bag seamlessly combines local fabrics from the Syrian region with upcycled materials, creating a spacious and uniquely designed accessory. It boasts great storage capacity and features an inside pocket. The design incorporates the word "Haliyah" ("freedom" in Arabic) using special ink, and the combination of fabrics is truly one of a kind.

    About traditional culture:

Sahrya - This striped fabric has been handed down only in a limited area of Syria. Palestine is close to Syria, and before the border was drawn, they were connected as the same region. Therefore, Sahrya was used for men's national dress and sashes, serving as a common and familiar material still imported directly from Syria to private stores in Palestine.

Coins - A replica of a coin used during the Ottoman Empire, inscribed with the names of rulers and cities. Inspired by the actual custom of wearing them for security.

    About the creator:
"Aisha Design", is an environmental issues x designer, creating unique products by combining upcycled materials and traditional Palestinian culture. Aisha Design employs women who are in need of income. Additionally, Aisha Design is actively involved in environmental activities such as plastic upcycling classes and tree-planting activities in the local community.

    Situation in Palestine:
Palestine is a place with a deep history and warm people. (Diary of my stay in Palestine: https://note.com/kakehashi_pale/m/m70c26db08307) We believe that connecting through fair trade with the people who continue to protect their traditional work and activities even under occupation, and the culture crossing borders will lead to grassroots peace.
